On Sunday May 31st, Rosy and her pit crew made their way down to the Bristol Harbourside, in not so ideal conditions, to take part in the Bristol 10k - the first of six challenges she will be completing in this summer. Rosy crossed the finished line as part of the first wave in a time of 52 minutes - AMAZING!
A week before the event Rosy and the bakery successfully reached and then exceeded their fundraising target of £150.00 for the International Refugee Trust. The atmosphere on the day was wonderful with many different runners taking part, from the very experienced to those taking part in their first ever run. Rosy took on well deserved "fluids" after a vital stretch down and was treated to a champions brunch.
Not one to rest, she has already begun her training for challenge number two - the North Devon Half Marathon on June 28th at 10am with a steady 4k run the morning after.
For this event, we will be raising money for the Frenchay After Burns Children's Club who are an independent children's charity who provide support and guidance for burns survivours and their families. Our fundraising goal for this charity and run is £150.00 and we would appreciate as much or as little as you are able to donate. If you would like to please visit our Just Giving Page.
If you are taking part in any of the events, please let us know we would love to show our support!
