For the third straight season, the bakery have been proud to be the main shirt sponsor at Marshfield Cricket Club. With a number of staff past and present having played for the cricket club and with Sales Director Ben White still the club’s Secretary, this seems a very natural synergy and represents our commitment to grass-roots sport. Not forgetting, of course, how great our products are for cricket teas!
Marshfield CC is a thriving community club boasting several teams – from U9s through to seniors as well as rapidly developing women and girls sections – all of which smartly wear Marshfield Bakery sponsored playing shirts. The First XI finished their league campaign in 3rd place as well as making it to the last 16 of The National Village Knockout. The U19s “Mavericks” team was unbeaten in their T20 group, whilst the U11s won their local Bath & District Youth Cricket League. So all in all a successful season both on and off the field! The picture below shows the First XI ready for their final league match last Saturday wearing the current playing shirt as well as a few “retro” shirts too!
