South West Food & Drink

South West Food & Drink is the "umbrella" trade organisation dedicated to the development of the food and drink industry throughout South West England. It was created to ensure that there is a coherent strategic approach to the sector and is funded by South West of England Regional Development Agency (SWRDA). Marshfield Bakery are also members of their subsidiary, Bakery South West.

Taste of the West

Taste of the West is a limited company led by a Board of Directors who represent the public, industry and community sector interests in the South West. They provide a variety of skills such as food technology, marketing, public relations, tourism, catering and information technology. Taste of the West receives ongoing support from DEFRA. Marshfield Bakery were one of the founders members of Taste of the West in 1992.

Guild of Fine Food

Marshfield Bakery are an accredited supplier. By supplying speciality foods to food halls, independent delicatessens, hotels and restaurants we help the Guild provide a better service to its retail members and the Guild helps us market our fine foods. The Guild of Fine Food also organise The Great Taste Awards which Marshfield Bakery have won a number over the years.

National Association of Master Bakers

The association represents the interests of the Craft Baking Industry in England and Wales. It represents the view of the industry to government and other national organisations. Its purpose is to improve the profitability of all members by providing all the support, services and access to the training they need to compete effectively in the 21st century. It provides a forum for members to meet and exchange views.

CMi Due Diligence Standard

CMi is the leading international food safety and assurance company, operating throughout the food supply chain. They provide consulting, certification and technical services to clients in the farming, food processing, distribution, retailing, catering and leisure sectors, and to governments and executive agencies.

In 2007 Marshfield Bakery were awarded Gold Level Accreditation to the CMi Due Diligence Standard. This award was developed to provide a practically orientated audit of small and medium size manufacturers. The Standard covers all aspects of the manufacturing operation and challenges at an operational level plus the ability of a manufacturer to meet the requirements for the consistent production of safe and legally compliant food.

Campden and Chorleywood Food Research Association

CCFRA is the largest membership based food and drink research centre in the world. They undertake research and development for the many industries associated with agriculture, food and drink manufacture, distribution, retailing and food service. Marshfield Bakery uses their bakery department and they are an invaluable source of information when it comes to product testing and new product advice.

South Gloucestershire Council

This is our local Environmental Health Office. Marshfield Bakery has recently been awarded 5-stars for hygiene from “The Scores on the Doors” scheme at their new site at Tolldown Barn. We also play a part during their Food Festival week and open our doors for local people to view the premises.
