To compliment our renowned
range of snack bars and
fruitcakes, Marshfield Bakery has
introduced a range of delicious hand
made ‘heritage’ biscuits, celebrating
the history and traditions of the area
local to Marshfield, a village in the
Southern Cotswolds near Bath.
These melt-in-the-mouth butter
biscuits are made using the finest
ingredients including locally sourced
farmhouse butter and fresh eggs,
with the addition of delicious natural
flavourings, and baked in small
batches. Here at Marshfield Bakery
we make things exactly as at home…
we just put more in the pan!
Marshfield’s heritage is reflected in
the names of these biscuits, and is
charmingly illustrated and explained
on the packaging, which would grace
the shelves of the finest delicatessen or
gift shop. The Mummers Biscuit,
flavoured with orange and chunks of
chocolate, show the ‘Marshfield
Mummers’ who perform a traditional
English folk
play every Christmas,
while the Three Shires Biscuit,
with juicy currants and cassia (an
oriental spice similar to cinnamon)
showcases local standing
stones at the point
where three
counties meet
